Democrat should be concerned that President Donald Trump could win re-election in 2020, said Dan Pfeiffer, former communications director during Barack Obama’s administration.
"Democrats should be very, very worried. We have more voters than they do, but we can only win if we get them out. Complacency hurt Democrats last time because we assumed Trump would lose," said Pfeiffer, Vanity Fair reported.
Pfeiffer also has said that he does not see a way to remove Trump from office except through voting.
"(Richard) Nixon went down because a number of Republican senators told him that they were going to convict him on the impeachment. There is no world in which that happens with today’s Republican party. They will not do that," Pfeiffer said in May in The Daily Beast.
"The only way Trump will leave office is voters sending him home," Pfeiffer added.
