Republican Sen. Bob Corker came out against the Senate's bipartisan funding bill Thursday, saying he was "discouraged by the outcome" of negotiations.

Corker is the latest fiscal conservative and deficit hawk to voice his opposition.

"This agreement increases the discretionary spending caps by nearly $300 billion over the next two years, perpetuates the abuse of (Overseas Contingency Operations), and tees up another spending battle two years from now," Corker said in a statement on his website.

"It is also only partially offset, and most of those offsets occur years from now, doubling down on the irresponsible mentality in Congress of spend-now-pay-later," Corker said. "To say I am discouraged by the outcome of these negotiations would be an understatement.”

Corker joins Sen. Rand Paul and the House Freedom Caucus to come out against the latest continuing resolution to fund the government.

Congress is staring down a midnight deadline to get the stopgap funding bill passed.
