President-elect Donald Trump's campaign manager Kellyanne Conway confirmed Thursday she was offered a job in Trump's administration.
New York Magazine writer Gabriel Sherman began by posting a message on Twitter that claimed Conway was thinking of turning down a White House job.
Conway responded to the tweet 5 minutes later, saying the claim of her not being interested was wrong.
Conway successfully guided Trump to the presidency, which was clinched early Wednesday morning after he won the swing state of Pennsylvania. She is the president and CEO of The Polling Company/WomanTrend.
Trump first hired Conway to work on his campaign in July. The following month, he promoted her to campaign manager.
Conway is the first woman to lead a winning presidential campaign.
