Senate minority leader Harry Reid has been elected by Nevada Democratic Party delegates to be chairman of the state delegation to the Democratic convention in July.
Nevada Democrats voted Thursday night to pick Reid, party officials said. The vote came days after the state party convention erupted in chaos spurred by Bernie Sanders supporters that, in part, targeted Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Roberta Lange.
Other convention committee assignments, according to the party officials, include Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani on the Rules Committee, Christine Kramar on the Platform Committee and Alfonso Lopez on the Credentials Committee. Pages will be Julia Standish and Rudy Zamora.
