The Club for Growth, which has been adamant in its opposition to Donald Trump based on a number of his tax and trade positions, is seeing huge fundraising numbers over the last several weeks.
The Club For Growth Action PAC saw a four-fold increase in fundraising last month as attack ads against Donald Trump intensified,
Politico reports.
The PAC had its largest take of the 2016 election cycle, raising $4 million in February, up from less than $1 million a month earlier. In December, it raised just $162,416, according to Politico, as it realized that Trump could be the nominee.
The anti-tax group struck out against Trump last fall "while many GOP donors sat on their hands,"
Politico said.
