Hillary Clinton released a new ad Thursday morning questioning whether Donald Trump is a good role model for young kids.
The video, posted on
Clinton's YouTube channel, shows children watching silently as some of Trump's controversial statements play in the background, including him saying, "You can tell them to go [expletive] themselves," and the campaign appearance where Trump referred to reporter Megyn Kelly as "blood coming out of her wherever."
The ad also includes Trump's comments about Mexicans coming to the United States. "When Mexico sends its people, they're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists," Trump is heard saying in the clip.
At the end of the video, Clinton says, "Our children and grandchildren will look back at this time, at the choices we are about to make, the goals we will strive for, the principles we will live by, and we need to be sure that they can be proud of us."
The ad will air on national cable and in Internet ads, and as part of ad campaigns in Virginia, Ohio, Colorado, New Hampshire, Iowa, Florida, Nevada and North Carolina, according to
The Washington Post.
Clinton previously used Trump's words against him in early June, when she posted a video that said other Republicans were offended at some of Trump's comments.
