Chuck Todd: Trump NY Win May 'Pause' New Recruits in 'Stop Trump' Movement

New recruits to the "Stop Trump" movement may hit the pause button in the wake of the GOP presidential front-runner's New York primary win, according to NBC's "Meet the Press" moderator Chuck Todd.

In an analysis Wednesday of the Donald Trump's massive victory, Todd said Donald Trump is probably not yet at the point where all Republicans are "going to rally behind him."

"But he may stop the bleeding and he may at least get anybody thinking about joining the 'Stop Trump' movement to give a pause," Todd said.

"Look, what he did post-Wisconsin, the day after Wisconsin, there was a lot of people declaring, 'OK, maybe the 'Stop Trump' movement is real.' In 13 days, he turned his campaign around and put it back on the path to the nomination."

NBC News political analyst Mike Murphy said, however, the Indiana primary in two weeks could be a problem for the real estate billionaire — as well as for Hillary Clinton, who also won big in New York on Tuesday.
