Schumer to Meet With Douglas High Students

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer will meet with students from Majority Stoneman Douglas High School — the scene where 17 people were killed in a shooting spree, The Hill is reporting.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, according to the website. Students from the school in Parkland, Florida are pushing for stricter gun laws.

"These brave students, whether at the Florida statehouse or on national television, have spoken out with eloquence and grace," Schumer said. "They are changing the way this country thinks about the issue," Schumer said.
