New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has called on the United States to take overseas military action against terrorists in response to the Orlando nightclub massacre in which 49 revelers were shot dead by an Islamic State supporter.
"It's awful … These radical Islamic terrorists are out to kill us," Christie said of the worst mass shooting in U.S. history, during an appearance on WFAN radio's
"Boomer & Carton Show" Tuesday morning.
"I was really outraged … It is unacceptable to allow this type of stuff in our country and for us to not fight back. And we need to fight back. That's all these people understand …"
Christie, a close adviser to presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, added:
"We've got to fight back …You've got to get over there and make them pay where they live. It's an ugly, difficult thing, but if we don't get over there, they're coming here. And they showed it again this weekend."
Omar Mateen's shooting spree at the Pulse nightclub early Sunday, left 49 dead and 53 injured.
