Jeb Bush is "irrelevant" — and the Republican Party is "moving on" without both the former Florida governor and former President George W. Bush, Rep. Chris Collins said Tuesday.
"It's time for him to get on the Trump train," the New York Republican,
who endorsed Donald Trump in February, told Jake Tapper on CNN. "We've got to defeat Hillary Clinton.
"I'm disappointed in what he and his brother and father have been saying," Collins said. "They lost. It's time to move on."
The third-term representative slammed attacks of Trump by the Bushes, including their refusals to attend the Republican National Convention in Cleveland in July.
"With the exception of the Bushes … the Trump train is moving. Unity is moving along," he added, saying that "at this point," the Bushes and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney "they're irrelevant.
"It's sad to see the tact they're taking. The party's moving on without them."
