President Donald Trump was met with a profanity that echoed through the halls of the Capitol Rotunda on Tuesday, and police want to identify the woman, thought to be an intern, who lobbed it.
The profanity – "Mr. President, **** you!" – was clearly heard as Trump made his way to Speaker Paul Ryan's office before his meeting with House Republicans.
Politico reports Capitol Hill police are looking for the woman, though it is not clear what, if any, consequences she might face when she is identified.
Trump met with House Republicans late Tuesday to discuss immigration legislation, most acutely bills that would end the practice of separating families at the border, a loophole he has put on the shoulders of Congress to fix.
Trump sees the hardline stance on immigration as a winning issue for Republicans in November's midterms.
