Pollster Says Kavanaugh's Nomination Will Boost Dems

A Democratic pollster insisted Wednesday that Judge Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court will fire up the left-leaning base for the November midterm elections.

"This is kind of one more thing for the Democrats in terms of rallying the base, galvanizing opinion," Carly Cooperman told The Hill.

"You're having a pro-life judge being nominated to the Supreme Court months before the midterm elections already when there's a lot of anger."

President Donald Trump announced Kavanaugh's nomination in a Monday night event at the White House. Democrats have jumped on the choice, saying Kavanaugh would put women's rights in jeopardy if he were to be installed on the Supreme Court.

Kavanaugh faces a tough fight in the Senate, with a handful of Republicans still question marks in terms of whether they will vote him onto the high court.
