Former vice president Joe Biden has an eight-point lead over President Donald Trump, according to a Fox News poll.
The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee has a particularly big lead with independents and aging voters.
According to the Fox News survey, Biden has 48% of the support among voters and Trump has 40%, while 11% remain undecided. Last month, the two were tied at 42% in the same poll.
Biden has a 17-point lead among voters older than 65, and a 13-point lead with independents.
In 2016, exit polls favored Trump by 7 points while independents went for the president by four points.
Even as some polls show Biden has a problem with enthusiasm, the Fox News survey discovered 53% of voters find him extremely motivated.
Also, 69% of Biden supporters call themselves extremely motivated versus 61% of Trump voters.
And despite recent sexual assault accusations from former staffer Tara Reade, Biden has a 20-point lead with women compared to Trump's seven-point lead among men.
Trump, however, does have a 30-point lead with rural white voters versus Biden's 64-point lead among black voters.
Trump has a favorability rating of 43% positive and 55% negative, while Biden's is 48% positive and 46% negative.
And 78% of people polled think the economy is doing poorly, which is 34 points higher than before the coronavirus pandemic began.
On issues related to China, Biden takes the edge over Trump by six points.
The Fox News survey of polled 1,207 registered voters around the country, between May 17 and 20, with a 2.5 point margin of error.
