President Donald Trump's former personal lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen, on Tuesday indicated that he voted for Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden.
Cohen tweeted a photo of himself with an “I Voted” sticker and the message: “Guess what I did this morning … bright and early?” He also tagged Joe Biden and running mate Kamala Harris in the tweet along with the hashtag #BidenHarris2020.
Cohen was once one of Trump's closest advisors, but became a loud critic after pleading guilty to tax evasion, campaign finance fraud, and lying to Congress in 2018.
He said Trump ordered him to break campaign finance laws in 2016 with hush-money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal to keep their affairs quiet.
Trump has vehemently denied the allegations.
Cohen, who started serving his sentence in May 2019, was released early due to the coronavirus pandemic. He was taken back into custody in early July, but released weeks later, after a judge ruled his arrest was retaliation for a tell-all book he wrote about Trump.
