How Dems Can Make the Supreme Court Irrelevant

Democrats have threatened to pack the Supreme Court with additional justices as revenge against Republicans for filling a vacant seat in the midst of an election cycle. But if the left takes back its majority in Congress, it may be able to limit the power of the conservative court in other ways without interference from the Supreme Court.

Legal experts say there are several tools Democrats can deploy to circumvent the conservative-majority Supreme Court from striking down their liberal policies. These include: jurisdiction stripping, jurisdiction channeling, imposing a super majority, controlling the docket, and instituting term limits.
