Retired police sergeant and National Police Association spokeswoman Betsy Brantner Smith slammed the media’s politics-driven fixation on the suicides of 4 cops who served during the U.S. Capitol breach while ignoring the larger mental health crisis plaguing police nationwide, saying “thousands of police officers have been standing on riot lines and nobody is talking about any of them.”
