Medical Expert Links Caravans, Mysterious Childhood Paralysis

The mysterious illness that has paralyzed hundreds of American children, including some clinging to life on breathing machines, may be linked to the waves of migration coming from Central America, according to the director of a national organization of physicians.

Dr. Jane Orient, the executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), tells Newsmax that the harsh, unsanitary conditions in Tijuana’s refugee camps could be a breeding ground for contagion.
