Tom DeLay on Hillary's Trump Speech: 'Like a Comedy Central Show'

Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay told Newsmax TV on Friday that Hillary Clinton's attacks on Donald Trump's foreign policy credentials were "like a Comedy Central show."

"It's an example of what we're going to get for the next over 100 days," the former Texas representative told "The Steve Malzberg Show" in an interview. "It's going to be so disgusting.

"The back and forth is really getting out of control. And you know what all this does? This just suppresses people's vote. It just keeps people away from the polls.

"If this keeps on the way it's going, we can very well end up with the lowest voter turnout in the history of this country," said DeLay, who led the Republicans from 2003 to 2005. "It's just amazing to me."

But with Clinton's Thursday speech in San Diego, "she was playing to her audience — and she has to play to California right now," DeLay said.

"I don't excuse for what she said — but Hillary Clinton, the worst secretary of state in the history of this country, going after Donald Trump on his foreign policy, it's like a Comedy Central show."
