African Americans are going to start asking questions about how their life has gotten better since Barack Obama became president — and they may not be impressed, says historian and columnist Timothy Stanley, a former Oxford and Harvard professor.
"On the one hand, you have this generation-defining moment — a black guy made it to the presidency — which means that lots of young African Americans can look at that and [be] inspired," Stanley said Thursday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.
At the same time, Stanley added, "We've had five race riots since Obama became president, and black incomes have actually fallen."
