Professor: Desire to Succeed Is Inherited From Parents

Gregory Clark, professor of economics at the University of California, Davis and author of "The Son Also Rises: Surnames and the History of Social Mobility," joined Ed Berliner on "MidPoint" on Newsmax TV Tuesday to discuss his research indicating the American Dream is an illusion for most people.

Clark says that by looking at surnames, he found that very few people are able to climb financially out of the class into which they were born and that social mobility in modern America is not much different medieval England.
