The GOP hopes to win a majority in the Senate in the November midterms, but the Republican National Committee's deputy communications director Kirsten Kukowski tells
Newsmax TV that doing so will be a difficult accomplishment.
Kukowski explained that that's one of reasons the RNC kicked off its "Road to Six" campaign Monday.
"It's basically talking about all of the different pathways to getting that majority, those six seats that we need to take over control of the Senate," Kukowski told J.D. Hayworth on "America's Forum" on Newsmax TV Monday.

"It's obviously painting each of these races for all of our viewers and voters so that they understand what's happening on the ground in each of these states," she said.
"But it's also reminding people that this is a difficult thing that we are about to accomplish," she said.
"Beating so many incumbents, taking so many seats at one time, it will be a historic move for us," Kukowski added.
"We can't take anything for granted and need to take the next 50 days to really make sure that we're turning our voters out," the RNC official said.
