Carly Fiorina's attempt to sing a nursery rhyme during her debut as Ted Cruz's vice-presidential running mate was a "creepy" move that will likely show up in Donald Trump's attack ads, Scottie Nell Hughes, chief political correspondent for the USA Radio Networks, tells
Newsmax TV.
"[It will] if it hasn't already but more importantly it was creepy, it was absolutely creepy," Hughes said Thursday to J.D. Hayworth on "Newsmax Prime."
Moments after Cruz tapped the former Hewlett-Packard CEO as his second banana, Fiorina, who ended her own presidential campaign earlier this year, warbled a made-up nursery rhyme she said she would sing to the Texas senator's two young daughters:
"I know two girls that I just adore, I'm so happy I can see them more. 'Cause we travel on the bus all day, we get to play, we get to play."

But the out-of-tune ditty
instantly caused a sensation on social media, with Twitter users panning the mini-concert.
"The poor children that had to subject themselves [to that song] and knowing that there's four more verses to that," said Hughes, who then urged Fiorina to "please save it for "The Voice," referring to the TV singing competition.
"Maybe she might have a better chance of auditioning for that than running for president as her campaign failed and she came in seventh place in Iowa."
