Americans "saw the best" of Donald Trump Tuesday when he allowed ejected Univision anchor Jorge Ramos back into the Iowa news conference after he refused to follow protocol, the Republican presidential candidate's former political adviser, Roger Stone, told
Newsmax TV on Wednesday.
"It shows the inherent fairness of Donald Trump," Stone told "Newsmax Now" host John Bachman. "We don't know who gave the order to remove Ramos, but he certainly deserved that.
"He was disrupting a public meeting. He hadn't been called on — and he wasn't asking a question," Stone added. "He was making a speech."

Stone noted that Ramos' daughter, Paola, joined the Hillary Clinton campaign in June to work on Hispanic outreach efforts.
"He's not really a reporter. He's an elite media talking-head activist who wanted to attack the Trump immigration plan.
"You saw the best of Trump here," Stone added. "First of all, he was in control. He was strong, he was firm, he never lost his temper — and he did spar with the guy, demonstrating that he doesn't back down.
"This round goes to Donald Trump."
Stone called Trump's move at the outset of the first GOP debate to not swear off running as an independent or backing the eventual nominee "a very successful tactic," because it ensured that "he was treated fairly in the first debate, at least by his opponents."
Right now, Trump is "giving up little," but "so far, he's successfully used the leverage to make sure that his access to the process is fair," Stone said. "That no one is cutting off the debate, nobody's trying to keep him off the ballot."
