Donald Trump's endurance as a GOP presidential contender will get the real test when "heavy bullets fly" from attacks financed by his rivals' "hundreds of millions of dollars," ex-Trump adviser Roger Stone tells
Newsmax TV.
In an interview with "The Steve Malzberg Show" Wednesday, the correspondent for The Daily Caller and editor of StoneZone.com says he doesn't think Trump "can get enough free media coverage to face the onslaught that's coming."

"Anything is possible," Stone said. "At this point he still has the whip hand." But the competition has yet to heat up, he warns.
"The question is: when the heavy bullets fly, when [Florida Sen.] Marco Rubio and [Ohio Gov.] John Kasich and Jeb Bush… take their hundreds of millions of dollars in 527 [tax-exempt advocacy groups] and Super PAC money, mostly from Wall Street, and they launch this attack on Trump because some out of pique, others because they think they can benefit from him in the race, we'll see how he withstands that," Stone said.
Trump will have to "spend relatively aggressively to counter" the attacks, Stone said.
"The idea that Trump can't be gotten to, can't be bought, can't be bullied, it's scared the political establishment," he said. "Trump has already vanquished Jeb. Vanquished. That in itself means he's done public service for this country."
Stone praised Trump as "one of the greatest communicators and one of the greatest performers on the stage that I can remember since Ronald Reagan."
"The so-called 'summer of Trump' that all of the establishment Republicans said would come and go … hasn't materialized," Stone said.
