The San Bernardino attacks prove that "the Islamic State has declared jihad against the U.S.," Jihad Watch director Robert Spencer told
Newsmax TV on Thursday.
"They have a detailed manual calling for the mass murder for American civilians," Spencer told "The Steve Malzberg Show" in an interview. "This attack followed out their plan and also the media's fascination with right-wing extremists.
"You can understand why a so-called ring-wing extremist might want to shoot up an abortion clinic, but a disability center in a Christmas party? No way."

Spencer also attacked Islamic advocacy groups in the U.S. for perpetuating the idea that those who might be suspicious of Muslims are racists.
He noted a news report that quoted a man who worked in the Redlands neighborhood where the slain attackers lived saying that he had six Middle Eastern men there regularly in recent weeks.
The man told
CBS Los Angeles Wednesday that he did not report anything to his supervisor because he did not want to be seen as engaging in racial profiling.
"This is what American Islamic advocacy groups have done to us over the years," Spencer told Malzberg. "Made us think that resisting jihad terror is tantamount to being racist and bigoted against Muslims — and ordinary people like this fellow down the street in San Bernardino imbibe this nonsense."
