Richard Loren: Pinnacle of Music Career Was Dead Show in Egypt

By    |   Tuesday, 25 November 2014 12:36 PM EST

The most memorable experience of music agent Richard Loren’s career was booking The Grateful Dead to play in Egypt in 1978, he said Tuesday on "America’s Forum."

"On Sept. 14, 15, and 16 of 1978 they performed and the moment when they struck that first note, I looked up, there was a full moon, a lunar eclipse, and I said, 'Oh my God, my crowning achievement,'" Loren told the Newsmax TV program. "I was able to bring the Grateful Dead to Egypt and play in front of the pyramids. So it was momentous to me."

Loren is the author of "High Notes: A Rock Memoir."
