President Donald Trump has no choice but to keep Attorney General Jeff Sessions in office because of the upcoming November elections, political commentator Michael Reagan told Newsmax TV.
During an appearance on "Newsmax Now," Reagan said firing Sessions right now would not be a good option.
"If you get rid of him, you're going to have to appoint someone else to that position," Reagan said. "How long would that take right now, especially when we're going into a November election?
"How long would that take to get the approval of the Senate of the United States to sit another attorney general? That's one of the problems the president of the United States faces with Jeff Sessions at this point."

Trump has criticized Sessions on numerous occasions, stemming from the latter's recusal from the Department of Justice's investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia. Sessions cited the role he played on the campaign as his reason for stepping aside from the probe that has being led by special counsel and former FBI Director Robert Mueller.
Trump ripped Sessions Wednesday morning, saying he should have chosen someone else to run the DOJ.
Reagan said Trump has to learn to live with Sessions for the time being.
"He's gonna hate it, but he's gonna have to love to be with him at this point in time," Reagan said.
