As the 2016 presidential election season nears, Hillary Clinton will likely disassociate herself from the policies of President Barack Obama, says Philip Klein, a senior writer at The Washington Examiner.
"I wouldn’t be surprised if, as the campaign starts going — assuming she makes it to the general election, and Republicans are tying her to Obama — she'll probably start to remind people that she ran against Obama in 2008,'' Klein told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.
"You'll probably start to see her make jokes with her sort of trademark chuckle talking about how, 'I got bruised up fighting …'''
But Klein believes the former secretary of state is an "overrated politician.''
"I think because Bill Clinton was a successful politician, it created this perception of Clinton in salability [that] they're these master politicians. Bu, she's not as smooth as he is,'' he said.
