Donald Trump is "evolving" on gun issues, economist Peter Morici told
Newsmax TV on Monday.
"Guns are a tough issue," Morici, a business professor at the University of Maryland, told "The Hard Line" host Ed Berliner. "He originally said: 'I don't want any guns. I don't really need any guns around.'
"That's a typical New Yorker. You don't go hunting in Central Park."

Morici noted, however, the recent deadly shooting attacks in Paris and San Bernardino.
"Basically civilians unarmed in the face of terrorists," he said. "If they hadn't been unarmed in Paris, if some of the civilians had guns, the outcome would've been very different.
"The terrorists would've been killed — not arrested — and fewer than 100 people would've been killed on the other side.
"In a perfect world to an urban dweller in the Northeast, we should have no guns — but we don't live in a perfect world. He sees things in those terms.
"Donald Trump is struggling with this issue, as am I."
