Noah Rothman, associate editor for conservative media watchdog HotAir.com, says he's willing to give Ron Klain, former chief of staff for Vice Presidents Al Gore and Joe Biden, a chance in his new position as the nation's "Ebola czar."
"I'm willing to withhold a little bit of judgment on that just for now. He has served as the chief of staff in two White Houses," Rothman said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.
"Chiefs of staff are generally pretty good at managing competing claims across federal agencies, which is really what the job is going to be here. So, I'm withholding judgment."
But Rothman said he was concerned with Klain's support of now-defunct Solyndra, a solar power company.
"He was instrumental in allowing the president to go speak and back up the solvency of Solyndra, which turned out to be a really big, bad move on his part, among other things," Rothman said.
