Generation Opportunity's Lee: Obama Losing Millennials

By    |   Tuesday, 08 July 2014 03:38 PM EDT

President Barack Obama's approval rating among millennials, those between the ages of 18 and 29, has dropped so much compared to when he was first elected because of broken promises, says Patrice Lee, Outreach Manager of the conservative think tank Generation Opportunity.

"Young people are tired of . . . broken promises by the government and frankly, the president, of more government money," Lee told J.D. Hayworth and Francesca Page on "America's Forum" on Newsmax TV on Tuesday.  "What they actually need is the ability to be able to create their own opportunities."

Lee said millennials want "entrepreneurship, and we see that as a great way of our generation leveraging their skills and their passions and their interests for something that they could create themselves."

"What we don't need is more government money, we need kind of government stepping out of the way and allowing the individual to create their own opportunities," she said.
