Outgoing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said he is "incredibly proud" of the work the Trump administration has done for the country over the past four years.
Pompeo highlighted the Trump administration's success in the Middle East with the historic Abraham Accords and for standing up to confront the Chinese Communist Party.
"I am incredibly proud of the work that President [Donald] Trump and the national security team has done for America," he told Newsmax TV’s "National Report." "Americans are more secure, more prosperous, the alliances that we have built around the world are stronger and more durable than they were when we came in."
He praised the work the Trump administration carried out over the past four years and said he hopes the "trend of increased American security" continues.
"I am proud of the things we have achieved with our friends in the Middle East," he said, adding, "The fact that we have been the first administration in five decades that has seriously understood what the Chinese Communist Party is doing to the world and confronted it. The list is long."
