The Obama administration and Hillary Clinton keep giving the Donald Trump campaign "lay-ups — and it's up to him to start hitting them out of the park," political commentator Michael Reagan told Newsmax TV on Thursday.
"It's not always talk about Donald Trump, but talk about those types of issues — because those are winning issues for his campaign," Reagan told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth.
He said that he hopes that Kellyanne Conway, Trump's new campaign manager, and other staffers "will keep him on track, keep him focused where he needs to be focused to ultimately pull ahead and win this election in November.
"It's really in his court to do."
The eldest son of former President Ronald Reagan's new book is "Lessons My Father Taught Me: The Strength, Integrity, and Faith of Ronald Reagan."
