Michael Reagan: Hillary's FBI Interview Made Her Health an Issue

By    |   Tuesday, 06 Sep 2016 11:00 PM

Hillary Clinton made her health an issue in the presidential campaign when she told the FBI she had trouble remembering things because of a concussion, political analyst Michael Reagan tells Newsmax TV.

"It would probably be a dead story at this point," Reagan told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth. "But she brought it back to life when she did the interview with the FBI and used her illness as an excuse for not being able to remember those things that the FBI was asking her about."

The press was incessant with health questions about Reagan's father, former President Ronald Reagan, during the 1980 campaign. He was 69 at time, one year older than Clinton is now.

"They always seem to ask questions about the Republicans' health more so than the Democrats' health," Michael Reagan said. "But it's nice to have somebody in the White House who's on Medicare … we know that'll never be touched in the next administration."

In Ronald Reagan's case, "he proved all of them wrong," his son told Newsmax. "They couldn't keep up with him when he was chopping wood or riding horses."
