California is a lost cause for Republican presidential politics, and GOP nominee Donald Trump shouldn't waste money trying to win it, political pundit Michael Reagan tells
Newsmax TV.
Trump's home state of New York, however, might be in play this year because of the leadership of state party Chairman Ed Cox, Reagan told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth.
"There is no, none, zero such leadership in the State of California to bring the party together," Reagan said. "Remember, we're the group that can't find anybody to run for governor. We're the group that can't find anybody to run for the House of Representatives. We're the group that couldn't find anybody to run for the Senate of the United States to replace [Democrat] Barbara Boxer."'

Trump should spend his money somewhere else where it might do some good, the California resident Reagan said.
"Spend it in New York in the state that cares, because California doesn't," he said.
Reagan, son of President Ronald Reagan, is author of the book
"Lessons My Father Taught Me."
