Michael Cohen got the prison sentence he deserved, political commentator Michael Reagan told Newsmax TV, but there is another story in the nation's capital that deserves attention, too.
Reagan was Wednesday's "America Talks Live" and referenced the three-year sentence handed down to Cohen earlier in the day. Cohen pleaded guilty to tax evasion and other federal crimes.
"He did get what he absolutely deserved, but because he's going to prison [that] doesn't mean the president of the United States is going to prison," Reagan said.

Reagan then mentioned an effort within the halls of Congress to silence alleged victims of harassment, which has paid out more than $17 million since it was created in the 1990s.
"And something else to bring up, what about that slush fund that was put together by the Congress of the United States years ago to pay off their paramours on a regular basis for hush money so they . . . would be re-elected to office?" Reagan asked. "What about that slush fund? Why is that not being talked about?"
Part of what Cohen was accused of doing was paying off two women who claimed they had affairs with President Donald Trump. The money, according to court filings, was used to silence them during the 2016 election.
