Donald Trump will not sue Republican presidential rival Ted Cruz over a television campaign ad because "bullies" "run away" when confronted, Republican political consultant Mary Matalin told
Newsmax TV on Thursday.
"When you punch them, they don't really punch back," Matalin, an advisor to former Vice President Dick Cheney, told "The Steve Malzberg Show" in an interview. "They run away.
"Not that I think it's going to hurt Trump," Matalin added, "but I think it's another arrow in Cruz's quiver. I love that."

Trump also would not want to be deposed by Cruz's attorneys in any lawsuit, she added.
"He just likes to take these hot shots. He likes to punch and run.
"If he got engaged, if he actually goes mano a mano with Cruz, he would lose — and he knows that," Matalin told Malzberg. "He's a one-trick pony."
Any legal action by Trump would be "frivolous."
"Truth is an absolutely defense in libel and defamation," Matalin said. "It's true.
"You use Trump's own position, stated position, in his own words," she said. "So, it's not a legal case."
