Howie Carr: Bill Cassidy Will Take Louisiana

Monday, 29 September 2014 11:35 AM EDT

Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu will be defeated in the midterms, Boston Herald columnist Howie Carr predicted Monday on "America's Forum."

"I don't think she is going to be able to hang on to it in the first round because she would have to get 50 percent and she's not going to get 50 percent according to any of the polls," said Carr. "She's going to end up in the runoff against Congressman [Bill] Cassidy and it would be a low turnout there. I predict Cassidy wins in December.

Carr talked with Newsmax TV host J.D. Hayworth about the GOP's chances of gaining control of the Senate in the November midterms.
