Mainstream Republicans might be supporting Hillary Clinton, but blue-collar Americans are undergirding Donald Trump's campaign, pollster John Zogby told Newsmax TV on Wednesday.
"There is a sense that he's crude and bombastic and unpredictable and all the reasons that folks say they don't like Trump," Zogby told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth of those wealthier GOP voters who are supporting Clinton.
"These are folks who prefer stability, business-as-usual, the way things normally go and are not the kind who are risk-takers, at least when it comes to the political system."

But Zogby told "The Steve Malzberg Show" that Trump's pitch to "the forgotten man" is resonating with older, white blue-collar voters.
"It's predominantly older, whiter and blue-collar — but we're seeing a little bit of movement among some — maybe not enough, who knows — but some non-whites as well.
"I'm going back to Roosevelt," Zogby said, referring to the three-term Democratic president.
"Everyone whose run the presidency since FDR has eluded to in some way, shape or form that person who's been left behind — that person, the forgotten man, the silent majority is another, the angry white male and so on.
"I see Donald Trump making that appeal as the focal point of his campaign whereas Hillary Clinton is not."
