Rep. John Rose, R-Tenn., told Newsmax TV on Wednesday that “the only way we can be certain” that the allegations about Hunter Biden and his business dealings in Ukraine will be investigated is if a special counsel is appointed.
Rose told “John Bachman Now” that “the truth is, no one is above the law, and certainly there have been significant questions raised about Hunter Biden and his business dealings. Unfortunately, those dealings involved the vice president in his former role as vice president, and they need to be pursued and fully investigated, and I think the only way we can be certain that that will happen is if we have an independent counsel, a special independent counsel appointed.”
He added that his “hope is [Attorney General William] Barr, who has done, I believe, a very good job in his tenure at the Justice Department, hopefully he will agree with that and before leaving will report a special counsel to investigate this matter.”
