The invitation has been widely criticized, including criticisms from President Barack
Obama, who has declined a meeting with Netanyahu during his visit to the United States on March 3, saying it would be "inappropriate" so close to Israel's election on March 17.
"There's been this precedent of the White House being involved in that invitation, but the White House has this one wrong," Duncan said.
"We see what President Obama is doing with encouraging folks to go and campaign against Netanyahu in Israel," he explained.
"That's absolutely wrong and so I applaud the speaker. I stand behind him," he said.
"I want to see Netanyahu speak to the Congress and speak to the American people about the real situation in Israel, and let me just say, I stand with Israel 100 percent, and I will never waiver on that," Duncan said.
