Jim Hoft, founder and chief blogger at The Gateway Pundit, says Ferguson, Missouri, is gearing up for potential unrest when the grand jury decision in the Michael Brown shooting is revealed.
"Gov. Jay Nixon just declared a state of emergency across Missouri," Hoft said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.
"Francis Slay, the St. Louis mayor . . . had a press conference where he said the National Guard would be stationed here in town, but it would not be trying to instigate or trying to confront the protesters.
"The National Guard would be stationed at shopping malls and at government buildings after this announcement is made."
The grand jury has been weighing whether to press charges against Darren Wilson, a white police officer, in the shooting of Brown, an 18-year-old black man, earlier this year.
