Watchdog O'Keefe: 'Bin Laden' Crossing Proves Border Insecure

Monday, 11 August 2014 06:48 PM EDT

James O'Keefe, founder of the government watchdog Project Veritas, says his stunt of crossing the U.S.-Mexico border dressed as Osama bin Laden proves how insecure it is.

"It's pretty outrageous, shocking that someone who's in Army fatigues and a turban and a mask can cross from Mexico into the United States,'' O'Keefe said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"So, it's pretty scary that our borders are just so open that anybody can get across for any reason.''
