The world has turned into a powder keg because the United States is no longer leading it, according to Jeffrey Lord, a former aide to President Ronald Reagan and a contributing editor at The American Spectator.
"In point of fact, we're seeing what happens when America isn't the world's policeman," Lord said Friday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.

"There is no one else that can do this, [who] can keep a lid on these various situations because when you remove that hand, when you remove that lid as it were, things explode.
"That's what we're seeing here. It's the Ukraine, Iraq, and Syria. On and on and on this is going to go, and it's going to get worse.''
Lord blames the lack of leadership on the Obama administration.
"I don't think there's any doubt about this whatsoever and we have a president who's just not inclined to deal with this,'' Lord said.
