Rumored plans by President Barack Obama to issue a sweeping executive order to deal with the immigration crisis could push him closer to impeachment, says Ian Tuttle, a William F. Buckley fellow and editorial board member of National Review.
"It seems to be an impeachable offense if you take the Constitution for what it says, which is that under article is the president's job is to faithfully execute the laws that are enacted by Congress,'' Tuttle said Friday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.
"He wouldn't be doing that. He would be writing his own laws, and of course, it's not the first time we've see that … Of course this proposed executive order [on immigration] would be of a magnitude and a type that's really unprecedented.''
