He said that "this week in Milwaukee there was an event in a public park" about an event "in April of this year where an officer approached a person thought to be homeless who acted questionably."
"That resulted in a physical engagement between the officer and the subject," he explained. "The subject reportedly took the officer's baton and was beating the officer with that baton, and the officer took steps and used deadly force and killed the subject before he was seriously injured himself."
"That officer apparently was fired this week from his department," he said.
"We're going to see this around the country where these questions are asked, where we put officers more and more on the defensive, where we see them fired, where we see them charged, and my fear is . . . we'll see those actions taken in the name of being politically correct, not based on the facts," he added.
According to Hosko, "it is important in a civil society for police to act responsibly, to act within the law, to act within the rules that guide them in their department."
