Sen. Elizabeth Warren may ultimately decide to skip the 2020 presidential race because of a past she wants to keep hidden, veteran political journalist and bestselling author Ed Klein tells Newsmax TV.
"I don't think Pocahontas, as Donald Trump calls Elizabeth Warren, is going to run," Klein said Tuesday of the Massachusetts Democrat on Newsmax's "America Talks Live" with Bill Tucker.
"Because from what I can tell from my own reporting, she's got a past that she doesn't want to be exhumed. A lot of things in her past. So I think she's out of the running, and she's going to be well into her 70s by 2020."

Klein did not identify what issues Warren might want to remain buried. But, he said there are plenty of other Democratic movers and shakers ready to step in.
"Governors like [Andrew] Cuomo in New York or the former governor of Massachusetts, Deval Patrick, who unfortunately for them, are considered by Democrats too moderate for the party base," Klein said.
"If Cuomo is really serious— which I think he is by the way — I think you're going to see him move further and further to the left over the next couple of years and get closer to the [Sen.] Bernie Sanders wing of the Democratic Party."
Klein added: "You know [movie producer] Jeffrey Katzenberg, who is one of the most prolific fundraisers in the Democratic Party, in Hollywood, has been urging Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, to run for president and I keep thinking to myself, who's running this Mickey Mouse operation anyway?"
Klein is the author of "Guilty as Sin: Uncovering New Evidence of Corruption and How Hillary Clinton and the Democrats Derailed the FBI Investigation," published by Regnery.
