Donald Trump is "on display" at this week's Republican National Convention, and that's the opposite of what will happen next week when the Democrats meet, political analyst Dick Morris tells
Newsmax TV.
Trump was
formally nominated Tuesday night, and the purpose of the whole convention is "to show the real Donald Trump. Hillary's convention will be to hide the real Hillary," Morris told "The Steve Malzberg Show."
Morris is author of the new book
"Armageddon: How Trump Can Beat Hillary" with Eileen McGann.
Having his wife, Melania, an immigrant from Slovenia, speak on the opening night worked to dispel the notion Trump is anti-immigration, Morris said.
"The annals of history are filled with generals who have won wars – Eisenhower, Grant – and they become nominees, but to do it without having done anything like that – just simply by the strength of your personality – is extraordinary," he said.

Turning to the controversy at Fox News Channel, where Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes is
reportedly set to leave over sexual harassment allegations, Morris said the GOP could be adversely affected, "because God knows who the Murdochs will put in there. They might put somebody who wants to be much more like CNN."
"Could you imagine the irony if Bill and Hillary Clinton benefitted because somebody else sexually harassed a woman?" he said.
Morris's book
"Armageddon: How Trump Can Beat Hillary" is available at bookstores and online at both
Barnes & Noble and
Amazon.
