One of the loudest Democrats in the movement to impeach President Donald Trump is completely ignorant when it comes to Constitutional law, attorney and law professor Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax TV.
Dershowitz appeared on "Newsmax Now" and commented on Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., and her continued calls for Trump to be impeached over allegations his campaign might have colluded with the Russians.
Newsmax's John Bachman played a tape of Waters speaking in 1998, when she claimed to be against the impeachment of then-President Bill Clinton, and then played a more recent tape of her injecting race into her plea for Trump to be impeached.
"She's outrageous," said Dershowitz, a Democrat and Constitutional expert. "For her, everything has to do with race. And everything has to do with whether it helps the Democrats or hurts the Republicans.
"She's a rampant Democrat, she's an ignoramus when it comes to the Constitution, and nobody should pay any attention to what she says when it comes to Constitutional law."

Dershowitz said Waters' continued calls for her fellow lawmakers to impeach Trump prove she believes in two sets of rules: one for Democrats and one for Republicans.
"She's part of the problem, not part of the solution," Dershowitz said. "The framers explicitly rejected impeachment as a partisan tactic, and she wants to introduce it as a partisan tactic. One rule for Democrats, one rule for Republicans. That's her, and nobody should take her seriously."
