The anti-police movement in the United States is facing a backlash from people who support law enforcement in the United States, particularly in the most vulnerable communities, author David Horowitz told Newsmax TV.
"Americans want to be safe. They want their police. The black community and the large majority of it obviously wants the police because their the only protectors, particularly poor and vulnerable blacks in the inner city, Horowitz told Thursday's "Greg Kelly Reports."
Horowitz, author of "BLITZ: Trump Will Smash the Left and Win," said people are afraid to stand up to the anti-police protesters for fear of being "canceled" or having their lives turned upside down by liberal groups.
"The reason for the optical illusion here, that these lynch mobs, organized behind Black Lives Matter, are dominating the conversation is that people are afraid of being canceled and having their lives ruined," Horowitz said. "Look at all the liberal editors who've had to resign, for example at The New York Times, for what? Printing a senator's op-ed piece,"
"Americans aren't stupid. I just had a conversation with a friend who's a hugely successful black businessman in the hip hop world, looking at what happened in Atlanta, and saying that that guy obviously was attacking the police. You don't grab a cop's taser gun and shoot him and expect to get away with it, Horowitz said.
He added, "The Democrats have spent three and a half, almost four years, slandering Trump, attempting to impeach him on phony grounds."
